Fabrizia Bazzo

Yeovil Hospital – Chapel

This commission was for the fabrication of a large glass panel to be positioned in front of the existing chapel window in order to obscure the view of outside buildings while enabling light to enter the chapel.

The theme of the work is that of a river flowing from source to sea, since water has great significance in many religions. The theme was developed by consultation with Anglican, Free Church and Roman Catholic Christians, as well as with Jews and Muslims and those who subscribe to no particular religion.

Techniques: Acid etched, painted, sandblasted and laminated antique glass.

Dimensions: 85 cm x 214 cm
