The Other Face of the Moon

“The other face of the moon” was inspired by a box I found while rummaging through a charity shop in Brittany (France) of old glass photographic negatives. The majority of these were portraits of women in period dress and in agricultural settings (probably a photographer’s archive that had been dumped).
I incorporated these into 16 glass pyramids, made of etched mirror glass that are then hung and suspended between etched zinc bars at top and bottom to create a flexible hanging display.

Glass negatives, mirrored glass and strips of etched zinc.
